Local Homecoming Celebrations Could Be Affected By Major I-65 Closure

It’s a big homecoming weekend here in Middle TN with TSU and Vanderbilt hosting celebrations.

This could put a wrench in some of your travel plans. TDOT is closing I-65 in both directions between the I-40 and I-440 interchanges all weekend long. This closure will kick off on Friday night at 8pm and be in place until 5am on Monday.

We’ve been warning you about this closure because they’re doing demolition work on the Hamilton Avenue bridge. Just a reminder to give yourself some extra time to get around this weekend and find alternative routes.
