Doing this in Tennessee could soon be legal.
Since before the prohibition, home distilling has been illegal in the state, but now, a lawmaker is hoping to change that. The Freedom to Home Distill Act would make distilling spirits at home legal, which under current law, is only allowed for home brewing. It would allow anybody 21 or older to distill up to 10 proof gallons per year, or 20 gallons for 2-person households.
