You may have seen this at First Horizon Park last week.
The Nashville Sounds and Tennessee Donor Services partnered for the “Home Run for Life Game” before their game against the Charlotte Knights. Before the first pitch, a kidney transplant recipient and donor family took the field to bring awareness to organ donation.
Later in the game, a local 13- year old from Hendersonville who was a kidney transplant recipient was recognized and took a lap around the bases as fans cheered loudly. This event is designed to encourage Tennesseans to register as a donor.
