If you get a call like this.. just ignore it.
Tennesseans are getting calls from fake cops who are threatening to arrest them for missing jury duty. This is a scam that’s been popular recently in Williamson County and it’s gotten so intricate that the scammers have even used real names of employees in their attempts to get instant payments from victims.
If you get a call like this, don’t provide any personal or financial information and just hang up! The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says they will NEVER demand payment over the phone to avoid arrest.
