Residents in The Nations are pushing to protect a mural from being torn down thanks to a redevelopment project.
The 14-year old mural is along California Avenue and is in jeopardy right now, as developers are looking to build a five or 6-story building at the site, which would tear down the wall that the mural has lived on for over a decade. Neighbors are hoping that an amendment will be put into place that protects the mural or moves it to a new location.
Metro Council is making its’ final vote on the new residential building next week.
