John and Jerry Carroll are Murfreesboro residents who just celebrated 80 years of marriage. John is 101 and Jerry just turned 100. Every Friday, the 2 go off on a little breakfast date to McDonald’s- something they’ve been doing for decades.
When asked the secret to a long marriage, John says “treat your wife nice and try to help her all you can and work hard.”
