This is a great skill to have and parents probably agree, but are also like.. could we wait a LITTLE longer.
Vanderbilt University is helping teach elementary school students how to debate. The course is teaching them how to debate by listening to learn versus listening to win.
This could actually be really beneficial, unless your kid absolutely loves it and turns into a little debate demon over everything. They want to teach the students how to show up with humility, look somebody in the eye when speaking and how to listen to them speak with intention.
