You should never feed wildlife, but now a new state law is targeting those who knowingly feed black bears. Feeding them can cause a bunch of problems, like lead to more aggressive behavior from the bears because they lost their natural fear of humans. It also can cause them to search for human food and approach homes and businesses, rather than hunting for their own in the wild.
If you’re caught feeding a bear, you could now face fines and penalties.
