A new pilot program is aiming to keep pedestrians safer on the roadways at night.
The “Light Up My Crosswalk” program adds a flood light to intersections with a dark crosswalk, in order to illuminate the pathway and make it easier for drivers to see. Right now, this is installed at 2 intersections and over the last few months, they’ve gotten great feedback.
