The next time you drive through Gallatin, look for these.
The city is recognizing people, institutions and places that have contributed to its’ history for Black History Month. They’ve hung a bunch of banners up on Wednesday to honor people like Rev. R.A. Stewart who was the principal of Union High School- which was the only high school for Black students in Sumner County.
Also Christopher Wright who was the first African American to graduate from Harvard University. It’s really cool to learn all about.
