Middle TN Pothole Season Is Among Us – Here’s What TDOT Is Doing To Help

While more people are getting on the roads today, this is something we knew would happen.. it’s Pothole season 26!

Thanks to the ice storm and freezing temperatures, more potholes have been forming the roads as the water gets into the cracks and freezes. TDOT is reminding residents that they can’t permanently fix these potholes until it gets warmer. They know that I-24 in Smyrna isn’t looking too hot and they plan on actively repairing what they can with a cold-mix before being able to permanently patch it up this Spring.
