We finally have word on what’s happening with Nashville’s downtown library parking garage after that fire back in June.
NDOT plans to tear down and rebuild at least a quarter of the garage, mostly the upper floors. Work is happening now to ensure that the structure stays safe for engineers to keep evaluating and begin rebuilding. Apparently 6 cars are still trapped on the upper garage floors, where they’ve been for the last 6 months and the city doesn’t have a way to get them out so they’re goin down with it too.
Once the structure is secured, parking will reopen in the lower levels, however we don’t know when that’ll be. Details HERE
