Some local hunters have come together to feed families-in-need this Christmas.
The Hunters for the Hungry program is accepting deer donations so they can turn the venison into meals for local families battling food insecurity. This year, donations are down from hunters by about 20% so they’re encouraging people to keep hunting and donate to one of their processing centers.
1 deer makes 168 meals and they turn it into anything from meatloaf to pasta.
