Here’s something to keep in the back of your mind as we’re getting into the holiday season.
A group of teens are being accused of scamming multiple people at the Nashville West Shopping Center, using a youth basketball scam. Multiple people have reported being asked to donate to a basketball team and when they opt to use “tap-to-pay” instead of giving the kids some cash, $1000 was stolen from their account.
Authorities are recommending that people always confirm details before tapping their card go pay for anything, also limit what you use the feature to pay for, especially in a high-risk area.
