This new pilot program could crack down on the unsafe and improper scooter riding downtown.
The scooter company called Spin just launched a program where each rider gets a score that tracks their behavior. Things like frequent sidewalk riding, double riding, abrupt braking and parking violations will be taken into consideration and will negatively affect a score.
You start at 5 stars, but if a rider’s score gets to below 4 stars, that’s when they will receives warnings, fines and their account could be shut down. Read more about this HERE
