This is such a great idea! The Hendersonville Fire Department just added a new tool to their toolboxes- “sensory kits.” The kits are backpacks filled with things like noise-cancelling headphones, weighted blankets, sensory toys and communication boards. These could be extremely helpful when responding to calls with somebody who has a disability.
It looks like the Hendersonville Police will get equipped with these soon, as well.
