It all started Monday- the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency teamed up with the Nature Conservancy and other partners on a new project which will restore the natural flow of the Elk River.
Our in Fayetteville, teams are working to remove the Harm’s Mill Dam, which will take them until about mid-November to complete. The dam was built in the early 1920s and is obstructing fish migration and limiting recreational use. Since it’s beyond the point of repair, it’ll be taken down and over a thousand miles of stream will be reconnected.
