Make note of this if you live in or around Franklin.
The city is making some upgrades to the water and sewer systems so there will be a bunch of road closures, including at the 5 Points intersection near the downtown square. Starting today crews are shutting down the intersection of Lewisburg Avenue and 5th Ave South, from South Margin to 5 Points.
The city knows this is annoying, but it has to happen. I’m not sure about this phase, but the project, in full, is expected to be completed in early September.
