Speaking of noise, that’s a concern in Belle Meade, but not because of the fireworks.
A new potential pickleball court could cause some annoyance for residents because of the noise, that’s why officials may put the sports facility on hold. Because of a noise restriction, any new courts will need to be built at least 500 feet away from a property line.
In Belle Meade the max decibel level for noise is 55 decibels and the average noise from playing pickleball is between 60 to 70 decibels so that goes against the current ordinance. The Board of Commissioners are set to meet about this on July 15th and the public is invited to come and comment.
