Some music teachers in Middle Tennessee just got honored in a major way.
The CMA Foundation just announced their newest class of Music Teachers of Excellence. They pick 30 teachers from across the country who have gone above and beyond for their students.
Each teacher will get one-of-a-kind access to CMA Fest and the CMA Awards this year, as well as $5,000 to be divided between personal use and their classroom. Lots of local teachers made the list this year so I’ll name a couple quickly: Chuck Brown from Head Magnet Middle School in Nashville, Reggie Coleman from Rocky Fork Middle School in Smyrna, Garrett Doo from Smyrna High School, Carolyn Hankins from Page Middle School in Franklin, and Allison Snyder from Hunters Lane High School in Nashville.
