MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – More than two dozen roads flooded and several people had to be rescued in Montgomery County as a result of Saturday’s severe storms.
According to the National Weather Service, Clarksville received up to 6.8 inches of rainfall from Friday, Feb. 14 to Saturday, Feb. 15.
Following Saturday’s flash flooding event, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said the Red River at Port Royal was at 36.8 feet at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 and is forecast to crest above major flood stage at 46.8 feet late Sunday night.
