Here’s something really wild to hear.
Did you know that firearms were the top non-medical cause of death among children across Tennessee in 2024 and 2023? That’s pretty alarming.. and also is why Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital started handing out unique freebies to anybody who visit the hospital.
In multiple areas around the hospital, you’ll find free gun locks that are there for families to take, as they need, as part of their “Locks for Children’s Safety” initiative. As of September they’ve distributed more than 3,000 locks. More info HERE
