There’s this author and like motivational speaker who I love called Mel Robbins, you may have heard about her, she has a pretty popular podcast. Her whole thing is like changing your mindset to be more positive and be more kind to yourself.
She just posted this great list of 8 things that you should tell yourself every morning and it’s probably one of the best ways to start the day, especially if you’re going through something hard.
On the list are mantras like:
- “I need to give myself more credit for how hard I’m trying”
- “if I keep showing up, life will reward me”
- “Something cool is going to happen for me today”
This is probably my favorite one because when you take the bad assumptions about how your day is gonna go OUT of the picture, it leaves room for something good to happen and makes it easier for you to SEE the good in different situations.
