Yesterday was a big morning, which kicked off the “Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program” tests. It’s a big week for 3rd and 4th graders because of the 3rd grade retention law that was passed back in 2021. If this whole retention law is confusing to you, you aren’t alone.. there’s a great diagram from the Tennessee Department of Education that maps out the different paths to promotion for 3rd and 4th graders.
