Have you ever heard of “Vis Deurbel” yet? If you haven’t, your welcome, it’s going to become your favorite way to waste time at work.
Vis Deurbel translates to “fish doorbell” and there’s a small city in The Netherlands called “Utrecht” and a river runs through it, every Spring the fish are looking for a place to spawn and reproduce and they travel through this city, the only problem is that there’s a canal that is closed and doesn’t open much in the Spring so the fish can’t get through.
This group set up a livestream underwater camera at the lock so that when you see a fish, you click the fish doorbell and it’ll send a message to the lock operator to open the door if there are enough fish to let through.
It’s cool too, you can see some pictures of the fish and other creatures that’ve been caught on the doorbell camera.
