Two historic buildings downtown are getting preserved thanks to a nonprofit.
Historic Nashville, Inc. is helping restore the historic Castner-Knott building downtown as well as the Elm Street Methodist Church. Both are listed on the National Register for Historic Places.
According to an agreement, the inside of the buildings are allowed to be altered, but the exterior will stay the same forever.
