Students in Murfreesboro are hoping to help feed the community.
Students in Halloway High School’s “plant science” class are currently using the school’s outdoor garden and greenhouse to grow vegetables and herbs. The area has been called a “food desert” in the past because of more limited access to fresh foods.. making it harder for some members in the community to eat healthy.
They holding a plant sale on April 5th, with proceeds covering gardening expenses for next year. Get more details HERE
