The community is coming together to support a high school senior after she was seriously injured in a sledding accident.
Mary Atkins is a 17 year old student at Westmoreland High School, was crowned homecoming queen this past Fall, and now is in the hospital after suffering a break in the C5 bone in her neck, which is a spinal cord bone. The great news is she’s regained sensation in her arms and legs and can even lift her arms.
The Westmoreland Lady Eagles basketball team raised money for her and her family at their game last night and there’s a GoFundMe to help them out with medical expenses and rehab costs. You can find that HERE
