A few weeks ago, we talked about a student named Davin Lucas at JFK Middle School and his amazing teacher Tony Raye. Now we have an update!
Tony started a GoFundMe for Davin, who has a severe form of muscular dystrophy, so that he could get a power wheelchair and get around a lot easier. Not only did the community raise $16,000 for the fund, but the company that makes the wheelchair heard the story and now the Permobil Foundation is gifting Davin a really amazing chair! What’s so cool is that it adjusts to his height and weight so he’ll always have a perfect fit.
The GoFundMe money will now be used to cover his medical expenses. Read the full story HERE
