Gotta shout out an amazing teacher here in Nashville who went above and beyond for a student!
The 7th grade student named Davin Lucas has a severe form of muscular dystrophy and uses a wheelchair to navigate around, but his current chair is too small and is manual, which is difficult on his muscles. After hearing that insurance wouldn’t cover the cost of a new chair, that’s when special education teacher Tony Raye at JFK Middle School stepped in and started a fundraiser to get Davin a new power wheelchair!
So far the fundraiser’s sitting at about $8,000 and they’re hoping to hit $20,000!
