2 HEARTS
Rated: PG-13
Release Date: October 16, 2020

Plot: Two couples that have never met have their lives intersect in a dramatic way
Clint Says: Save some money and see a matinee
Here is pretty much all you need to know about this movie: If you like to laugh a little bit and then sob uncontrollably while watching movies then you need to go see this right now.
This film will jerk the tears right out of your face and collect them in a pool between your feet.
Aside from the emotional ride, this is a pretty decent film. It's not one that will become a life-long classic, but it will be one that you may want to watch every once in a while to get your cry on.
The actors do a decent job, but their performances aren't anything better than average. Thankfully, they don't need to be anything better than average, because the story is the star of this film.
My only big issue with this movie, and this is a personal preference, so it may not be a big deal to you, is that the film relies on an unreliable narrator. To me, that is lazy writing. I would rather see the story unfold rather than hear someone talk about it over a montage.
Aside from that, this film gives you just about everything that it promises. It's not a technical masterpiece, but it is one that could be a fun night out with your girlfriends.
Just be sure to bring a big box of tissues.

EVIL EYE
Rated: Not Rated
Release Date: October 13, 2020
Director: Elan Dassani, Rajeev Dassani
Stars: Sunita Mani, Sarita Choudhury, Omar Maskati
Plot: A mother suspects that her daughter's boyfriend isn't as perfect as he seems
Clint Says: A good thriller worth streaming
NOTE: This film is part of a unique collaboration between Amazon and Blumhouse Television. The two studios have released four films over the last two weeks, and are doing several virtual party screenings called “Welcome to the Blumhouse” through Fantastic Fest and Fangoria.
A mother's instincts are always right. Trust your mother. Listen to your mother. These are all phrases we've heard all of our lives, but when it comes to love we tend to ignore mom.
The lesson from this film is do not ignore your mother.
Just like the other three films in this collection, this isn't a jump-scare, slasher style horror flick. Instead, this is a creepy thriller similar to films like SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY. What makes this unique is that it uses Indian culture and beliefs to tell a story we've seen many times in a new way.
This film is a slow burn, but when the fire gets going it doesn't let up. It is an intense, hold-your-breath story that will keep you glued to your couch while you eat all of the popcorn.
If you are looking for a fun thriller to get you into the Halloween mood, EVIL EYE will not disappoint.

Plot: Twin sisters compete for a coveted spot in their art school's senior recital while dealing with the suicide of one of their peers
Clint Says: Definitely worth streaming as soon as you can
NOTE: This film is part of a unique collaboration between Amazon and Blumhouse Television. The two studios have released four films over the last two weeks, and are doing several virtual party screenings called “Welcome to the Blumhouse” through Fantastic Fest and Fangoria.
We all know that the arts are very competitive, but this film takes that competitive nature to a new and creepy level.
Of the four films in this collection, this one is the creepiest. I wouldn't say that any of them are scary, but this one gets the closest to it. It is filled with suspense, betrayal, sabotage, and incredibly good music.
From the opening scene until the end credits this film will captivate you. Even in its darkness it has an ethereal beauty to it that draws you in and holds you.
If you are someone that loves creepy movies, but isn't really into the slasher horror flick stuff, this is a great film for you. It will give you all of the thrills and chills you could ask for.
This is a great choice for a evening on the couch trying to get into the Halloween spirit.
