A long-term closure of 1 Southbound lane on 8th Avenue will close soon as TDOT does bridge construction. That lane will stay closed into Fall 2027. There are 4 bridges along I-40 that need work and this is part of that big project. You can expect some overnight lane closures on I-40 in the future, as well, which would happen between 9pm and 5am.
