This could affect your commute soon.
The James Robertson Parkway bridge is going to close for a while next year as they redevelop the East Bank. TDOT plans to lower the bridge by 25 feet over the land on the East Bank side of the bridge, so it’ll be closed for a while and won’t be open again until late 2029.
The section of the bridge that is over the river will remain.. which is something I was wondering what was going to happen to, but yeah, that’ll stay the same. Detours and final plans are due next month so we’ll know more soon, but just start planning now because it’s coming and it’ll cause a headache when it does.
