TDOT is launching something new that will hopefully make the roads even safer.
They’re testing new technology that shows truck drivers open parking spaces at the I-40 Welcome Center in Smith County, so that they won’t have to park on the side of the roads anymore. They’re hoping this will help drivers find safe, official parking spots. If this works out well, they could roll it out across the state.
