Parents should be aware of this trend that’s affecting children across the state.
The “cat in the hat” trend shows videos or pictures of a creepy, AI version of the live-action Cat in the Hat, but where it crosses a line, is that some of the posts online actually mention kids’ first and last names.. and some even have home addresses listed.
These posts have been circulating around schools here in Middle TN and local authorities are well-aware and are investigating. If you see one of these posts, you can report it to Tennessee’s Threat Assessment Center or through the Safe TN app.
