You may be wondering what happens now with the flowers, balloons and other items that have been left around at makeshift memorials for Dolly Parton.
Well out in Sevier County, a nonprofit is repurposing them to bring joy to the community. Random Acts of Flowers is a Knoxville-based nonprofit that was able to arrange over 240 bouquets so far from Dolly’s donations! Those bouquets will be delivered to patients in local hospitals and nursing centers.
All of the balloons that were donated to the memorials will be donated to the children’s hospital. I hope somebody around Nashville can organize this for our community, as well.

Dolly would’ve loved this and Dollywood was known to donate their flowers from her season-opener carriage to the same nonprofit.
