Unfortunately, the road to the Little League World Series ended for the Nolensville team after coming up short yesterday in the regional championship game.
They took on Alabama, who ran the score up 4 to 0 for the win. We told you yesterday that the Alabama team had this amazing girl pitcher named Kinley Rasmus and she showed us all how amazing she really is when she threw a complete shutout yesterday. Kinley’s apparently the daughter of former MLB pitcher Cory Rasmus and niece of former MLB player Colby Rasmus, so she’s got it in her bones.
Crazy enough, this is the first time that Alabama will send a team to the World Series in Williamsport since 1999 and both Kinley’s dad and uncle were on that team.. so, it was kismet.
An amazing run for Nolensville.. but time to get back to school!
