Metro Council Passes Vote To Acquire Land Next To Nashville Zoo

They did it! Yesterday, Metro Council approved eminent domain to acquire the land near the Nashville Zoo.

The vote went 27 to 5 to authorize the purchase of over 23 acres on Grassmere Park. While this was passed, the city won’t be able to take ownership just yet, they’ll start by negotiating a price with DC Blox for the land.
