Due to this vote, the bus route is changing up a bit for some families in Rutherford County.
The School Board just voted to prevent school buses from driving on private roads. There are apparently liability issues and the board is worried that an HOA could come to them and claim the bus tore up a road and they need to now replace it.
There’s also not enough room on some private roads for the bus to turn around. This will change the pick-up for some students who’ll need to now walk about a mile to meet the bus at a different location. The new locations don’t seem to’ve been passed on to parents just yet, causing some headaches before the first day of school.
