Imagine you’re sitting there minding your own business and then all of the sudden, FLOODS of texts come in on your cell phone.. but not for you.
A man in Murfreesboro discovered that he has former Titans star Chris Johnson’s old cell phone number after messages of support came in following Chris’ interview where he announced his ALS diagnosis. The man named William received messages of love from teammates, coaches, and more.. finally putting to rest who “Chris” was that he’d gotten texts or calls for in the past years.
Since then, William’s been reaching out to the senders to let them know it’s not going to the right person, but he was able to get in touch with Chris’ wife Brittany who gave him permission to pass along her number. William said it was important for him to make sure he got these messages because “a man only gets his flowers a few times in his life, and I’d rather him see them now.”
