Don’t fall for this scam that’s taking over Nashville.
Rental scams are at an all-time high right now across Davidson County, and it’s left about 200 people in bad positions, some even having to live in their cars. The scams all feel real because of how intricate they are.. like in some cases, they actually had the key-lock info for some homes that they weren’t really in-charge of.. so everything seemed real, even the payment and lease.
Investigators are urging people to verify any listings online through multiple sources before sending money. Also, try to meet property managers in person whenever possible.
