Vanderbilt University is getting a new literary institute thanks to this famous author.
James Patterson is a Vandy alumnus and just committed $10 million to launch the Patterson Institute for Early Adolescent Literacy on the campus. This will aim to help increase literacy training for students grades 4 through 8 through tutoring and parent engagement, research and more.
