A local baseball hero was just honored by his hometown school.
Tony Kemp is a former Vandy star and MLB player and yesterday he was honored in a special ceremony in Franklin. April 21st is now “Tony Kemp Day” and he received a plaque at Freedom Middle School’s athletic complex to remember his dedication in school and on the field.
