This could make catching a ride downtown safer for you and your rideshare driver.
NDOT will launch pickup and drop-off zones during peak travel times next month. 24 zones will be situated around downtown and will operate from 5pm to 4am on Thursdays through Sundays. Drivers have 3 minutes to stop before they have to keep it moving and they may be numbering them so that drivers and riders can find each other quicker.
The zones will replace 31 metered spots.
