This new bill is going to change how influencers showcase their children on social media.
Have you seen this? Under a new child labor law bill, any child in Tennessee under 14 will not be allowed to appear in online videos that make money. If they do, the adult who violated the law can receive a $2,000 fine. If a child is at least 14 and the video earns money, the adult must put part of the earnings in to a trust for that child, who will be able to access it at age 18.
At age 18, they’ll also have the ability to request their videos being permanently deleted. Also in the bill, minors aged 14 to 17 will be allowed to make their own videos AND keep all of their earnings.
