It’s one of our favorite events of the year and it’s only a couple short months away.
The Scripps National Spelling Bee will take place in Washington, DC in May, but over the weekend, 51 students from across the state met at Nissan Stadium for the Regional Spelling Bee. A student named Jupiter from Chattanooga was named the champion and will head to the National Bee, thanks to the Titans.
Coming in 2nd place was a student named Marian, from right here in Brentwood at Woodland Middle School! She’ll also be headed to DC later this Spring to compete for the national title.
