Ooooohhh… you’re in trouble….
Kinda knew that this wasn’t gonna be good for the person who decided to knock down the historic building in East Nashville, which was once home to The Groove record store. The building was 100 years old and was in a protected area in the Lockeland Springs area when it was demolished without proper permits.. now, he is being ordered to rebuild it.
Here’s the thing though, this caused a bunch of outrage in the community, as it should.. but the owner who did this does say that he’s embarrassed by his impulsive decision to tear it down and that it was inexcusable. He plans on cooperating with the commission to make this right.
