Out in Dickson County, a middle school is issuing a warning to parents, that I think all parents should hear, too.
They’re warning parents of student’s energy drink consumption, saying that it’s become a problem, with some students drinking multiple energy drinks a day. In Westmoreland, an elementary school banned energy drinks this year because a student ended up in the nurse’s office.
A local doctor with TriStar Ashland City says that kids don’t have the tolerance for high volumes of caffeine or sugar like are in energy drinks which is why they can cause palpitations, anxiety, nausea and more.
