Changes are coming to NES when it comes to tree trimming.
After the storm disaster last month, the Nashville Electric Service is expanding their tree trimming clearance from 10 feet to 15 feet. They’ll also be using a “ground to sky” method which could help with hazards above the lines.
They’ve also issued a Metro ordinance that requires underground power lines be installed in all new subdivisions.
