Metro Police are reminding drivers to stay alert while pumping gas.
Apparently there’s been a trend in “sliding” thefts. “Sliding” is when a thief enters your car to steal your items when you’re distracted at the gas pump. Police are suggesting that drivers lock their cars when they’re at the pump and also stay alert- take your earbuds out and stay off of your phone.
